Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is a supernatural being in Slavic folklore often described as a hideous, old woman found deep in the woods. She lives in a house that stands on chicken legs surrounded by a fence made of human bones and flies around in a large mortar. She is an ambiguous character; she can help as much as hinder the hero that comes knocking on her door.

12” x 6” (30.48cm x 15.24cm) | Original drawing made with Micron pen on 300gsm cold pressed watercolor paper. Inspired by the 30 day art challenge, “Folklore and Fairytales” hosted by Custom, by Sophy.
