Dokkaebi

350.00

In Korean mythology, the Dokkaebi is a creature formed through spiritual possession of an inanimate object that was stained with human blood. Resembling a goblin with long, sharp teeth, horns and bulging eyes, the Dokkaebi has incredible powers and strength; it wields a magic club capable of summoning gold, jewels and food. Neither evil nor good, it is a mischievous spirit, often playing tricks on humans. But challenge and defeat a Dokkaebi in a wrestling match, and it might just be willing to help.

9” x 6” (22.86cm x 15.24cm) | Original drawing made with Micron pen on 300gsm cold pressed watercolor paper. Inspired by the 30 day art challenge, “Folklore and Fairytales” hosted by Custom, by Sophy.
