The queen of serpents, Shahmaran, is a half-snake, half-woman creature of Anatolian mythology. Her legend has been traced all throughout the Middle East and India. Beautiful, wise, and intelligent, she is described as a woman who knew many secrets of mankind’s history. It is also said that eating her flesh will cure all illnesses.
