An enormous beast in Greek Mythology, Typhon is the youngest son of Gaea, Mother Earth, and Tartarus, a primordial deity of the darkest and deepest region of the Underworld. The Father of Cerberus, Hydra, and Chimera, he is known as the father of monsters and the personification of storms and volcanic forces. He has glowing red eyes, hundreds of serpents for limbs, multiple wings, and a man’s torso. Typhon sought to overthrow Zeus but was defeated and thrown into the underworld.
